Refunds are your call, because team money sits in your own payment account, not with TeamLockIn. Refund a card payment from the fee in Money, and the amount returns to the family's card. Cash or Zelle you settle directly, then adjust the record so the ledger matches.
There are two different kinds of refund on TeamLockIn and they work in completely different ways.
Refunding a team fee
Team money belongs to your program, not to TeamLockIn. We take no platform fee and we do not hold the funds, so the decision and the money are both yours.
- Open the team, tap Money, then the fee.
- Tap the player who paid.
- Tap Refund.
- Enter the full amount or a partial amount, and add a note.
- Tap Confirm.
The money goes back to the card that paid, and usually appears within five to ten business days depending on the bank. The ledger updates immediately.
Note that Stripe's processing fee on the original payment is not returned to you. Budget for that on a full refund.
Cash and Zelle payments are refunded by you directly. Record the refund in the app afterwards so the ledger stays accurate.
Refunding a TeamLockIn subscription
Different rules, because that money is ours.
Subscription payments are not refunded. The 14 day free trial exists so you can decide before you are charged, and cancelling stops the next renewal while leaving your access in place until the end of the term you paid for.
If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, Apple and Google process the payment and handle refund requests under their own policies. We cannot issue or block those.
Courses
A course cannot be refunded once it has been opened. If it has not been opened, email us within 14 days of purchase.
