Every team has a six character join code. Open the team, tap Invite, then share the code, the link or the QR code. Families enter it themselves, so you never type email addresses. If a code leaks, tap Reset code and the old one stops working immediately.
Every team has a six character join code. You do not add families one by one. You hand out the code and they join themselves. That is deliberate, because you should not be typing thirty email addresses on a Tuesday night.
Find your code
- Open the team.
- Tap Invite.
- Your code is on the screen, along with a share link and a QR code.
Three ways to share it
Say it at practice. The code is six characters and works in the app's join screen. This is the most common way it happens.
Send the link. Tap Share link and send it in whatever group chat you are trying to escape. The link opens a page that shows the code and where to get the app.
Show the QR code. Tap QR, hold your phone up at the parent meeting, and let people scan it.
What a family sees before they join
Only the program name and the team name. Teams are not publicly discoverable, and nobody outside the team can see the roster, the schedule or anything else. A code on its own reveals nothing beyond who is inviting you.
Rotating a code
If a code ends up somewhere you did not intend, open Invite and tap Reset code. The old code stops working immediately. Anyone already in the team stays in.
